Meet The Team
Festival Director and Founder
Matt
Currently studying Law at the University of Leeds. He has an entrepreneurial flair and love of unique films, regardless of genre. He feels that the film industry has become devoid of originality, and in dire need of fresh ideas and talent.
Festival Coordinator
Grace
Grace is currently studying Applied Theatre and community drama at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. She is an aspiring director who loves to create her own work, and is passionate about using it to bring about change. She believes art has a way to take us out of our own lives, even if for a little bit, and film can especially take you anywhere you want to go.
Festival Director and Founder
James
Currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath, James is an award-winning short film director and jack of all trades. For him, filmmaking is more than telling stories. In every project, there is an opportunity to make an impact on somebody watching. Whether that's a theme, a character or a character's actions, Film has the capacity to inspire us to be better.
Festival Coordinator
Oskar
Alongside studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath, Oskar is a film director and photographer whose work ranges from commercial music videos to experimental documentaries. He feels that every filmmaker’s voice is important, and any step in helping to develop them is a step closer to bringing the power of their stories to life.
Matt and James are student filmmakers both from Liverpool. They have directed and produced multiple projects since 2021, realising just how difficult it is to gain traction. As a result, they're seeking to unite with other aspiring filmmakers across the region, and collectively promote their work.
